My Personal Chef, LLC — most commonly known as 801 Catering — began almost 15 years ago as Alexander Personal Chef in the simplest way possible: two people working long hours in professional kitchens and cooking for local families on nights and weekends. What started as a small side service built on hard work and homemade meals gradually grew into one of Utah’s trusted catering providers.
We didn’t have much then, but we had what mattered most: a love for food, a strong work ethic, and a belief that kindness and consistency go further than anything else.
With a small loan from a sibling, we took our first leap and began cooking out of our home in Rose Park. Those early days were humble, but the food was honest, and people felt the care behind it. Word spread, one event at a time.
As we grew, life grew with us. We decided to leave personal chef work behind and commit fully to building something together.
It was scary. It was risky. But it felt right.
From our home kitchen
to a shared space in South Salt Lake
to our commercial kitchen in Bluffdale…
Every step has shaped who we are today.

They’re never in the kitchen — but they ARE part of our family story.
Every family business has a soft spot, and ours has always come with four little paws.
Our fur babies have been part of our family through every stage of this journey — the long days, late nights, big changes, and everything in between.
Tiger, Bear & Teddy — Forever Part of the Family ❤️
Although they’re no longer with us, Tiger, Bear, and Teddy will always be our kids and an important part of our family story.
They gave us years of unconditional love, companionship, and memories that will stay with us forever.
Smokey — Chief Comfort Officer
Calm, gentle, and always reminding us to slow down after long catering days.
Loui — Vibe Manager
The baby of the family — always joyful, always playful, and usually carrying one of his favorite balls. He brings the energy that keeps our home balanced and light.
Smokey and Loui may not be allowed in the kitchen (health rules!), but all five of our fur babies — Tiger, Bear, Teddy, Smokey, and Loui — are part of the family behind 801 Catering.
Some are by our side, and some stay with us in our hearts. 🐾❤️
